This trade was a good example of why higher timeframe context matters more than the entry itself.

Earlier in the week we swept Monday’s low and pushed to form a new low on Tuesday. That structure shift helped set the **weekly bias**, and once price reclaimed that level the narrative started to change. Instead of continuing lower, the market began to show signs of accumulation and displacement.

After the reclaim we formed a **clean 4H Fair Value Gap**, which became the key level I was watching. When price came back into that imbalance, the trade wasn’t immediately comfortable. It actually sat in drawdown for a bit before the move developed. But the structure was still intact and the higher timeframe bias hadn’t changed.

The reason this trade stood out was the **IRL → ERL sequence**. Internal range liquidity was taken below the range earlier in the week, and once price reclaimed and tapped the higher timeframe FVG, the logical draw on liquidity shifted higher. That draw ended up being the external range liquidity resting above.

Once the move started expanding, it moved quickly. The reaction off the 4H FVG was strong and price pushed aggressively toward the target, eventually delivering **over 250 points from the entry area**.

Trades like this are a reminder that the entry candle isn’t the edge. The edge is understanding **where liquidity has been taken, what the higher timeframe bias is, and where price is most likely seeking next**.

This one respected the weekly bias, respected the imbalance, and delivered exactly how the model suggests it should.
