2001 BMW e46 325ci

Hi I'm a young car enthusiast aged 16 and have found a 2001 BMW e46 325ci automatic with 253000 kms on it. Its priced at 4000 AUD. Owner has provided me with VIN and it shows no reports or being stolen or written off and everything matches. He has service history but I haven't gone to look at the car yet so don't know. Owner also says its been garage kept and been always plugged into a trickle charger. Located in Sydney so mostly don't think there is going to be a rust problem. I don't mind working on it either. Is this a good first car? Thanks
