Seeking assistance for which type of pan or dutch oven to purchase for the purpose of making exclusively curries.

Seeks specific kitchenware

Hello! My family has recently ruined the two pans (extremely wide-bottomed and deep teflon skillets) that I use for North Indian curries, something I make around twice a week for the house. We have an electric radiant stove, and our budget is $50 at most. I live in the midwest United States.

I am fine with any level of maintenance for the pan, and I will not be allowing anyone else to use it after what happened with the previous ones. Through doing my own research, I've become somewhat attached to the idea of a dutch oven, and cast-iron seems to be the cheaper alternative to enamel, but I also see that it can react very poorly with tomato, which is going to be an extremely comment ingredient in the pan. I'm also not quite sure a dutch oven IS the best option for this, I'm open to any suggestions. It does need to be wide-bottomed with fairly tall walls. Apologies if I'm generalizing too much, all of the pans I have, have been picked up pretty much off of vibes. I'd like something that's really perfect for what I'm doing with it, with how often I'm cooking recipes like this for my family.

Thank you!
