Is there some kind of taboo against paying for coaching?

I just visited the subreddit r/RocketLeagueCoaching to try to find a coach. I was going to offer to pay - I’m awful at this game, gold 2 in duel, so I figured that may be the only way I can even entice a high rank into coaching me - but apparently they don’t allow you to do that over there and they even say they’ll ban you forever if you offer money for coaching. Huh? I can’t imagine the logic behind this. Rocket league is essentially a sport and sports coaching in general seems like an extremely normal and fine thing to pay for to me - why would rocket league be any different? Is this actually a norm among the broader community or do they just have some weird policy over there?
