In the office
I (25F) started a new job in September and began Zep at the end of October. I work closely with two women about 20 years older than me. We eat lunch together about 4 times a week. They don’t know on Zep. Every time we eat together one coworker is either offering baked treats, chocolate, or candy. Like many others on Zep I find myself not wanting a sweet after eating lunch. For a while, this coworker’s comments about me “being good” & pushing these foods on me didn’t bother. One time, she offered me a brownie she made with her kids, I declined. She then said something about how her kids wash their hands and are hygienic when baking. She assumed I wasn’t eating it because of kiddie germs. In that moment I wanted to say no it’s not that, I’m just taking a GLP-1 and simply don’t want it. I haven’t told them because it’s truly nobodies business and I’m just getting to know them. I find myself lately avoiding eating with them if I can by scheduling and eating later on.
