Where do I take my career from here?

Graduated in 2021 with a 2:1 in Economics Hons Bsc from the University of Sussex. I intended to become a banker but didn’t really figure out how these things work long after uni, so I didn’t do work experience at all, instead I was doing these summer jobs that I have been doing while going to college/sixth form because I didn’t know any better. I then lost focus and within a year of graduating I got a Class 1 HGV license and started driving and that is what I’ve been doing ever since. I’m 26 turning 27 soon and I’m worried because I feel like time just went by and I didn’t do much with it, just chased getting near £60k/ year but now I’m realising if I have just focused maybe I would be far above that by now.

I don’t have much hope with breaking into banking now, even more so because I admittedly never really understood what the job is and taking a closer look, it is not something I could convincingly show an interest in or adopt to the life style.

Looking back, I was good with numbers but what I think I liked doing more is just create logical, detailed and balanced arguments regarding any subject and recently due to work troubles of a colleague I become interested in law, but after researching that field I don’t think it’s any better to now pay more for another piece of paper that might or might not get me a job in that field. So for nowI am looking at other “driving” jobs, be that train, ship or aircraft as even those seem more possible. Is there a way to turn this around?
