Should I get a second opinion?
I was going to post this on the "askmen" subreddit, but they do not allow questions about medical stuff there and told me I might want to ask here instead. Sorry in advance if this is also not the right place.
I have been feeling like shit for a while now. No energy, motivation, always depressed. Slowly my libido also crashed and I have almost zero sex drive now to the frustration of my wife. So I made an appointment with my primary care doctor and told him all this. He sent me to Quest to get some blood work done. When it came back it showed I had low testosterone. Pasting the results below with some personal information like address and phone number redacted:
My doctor said my testosterone is low but since I am only 43 years old he strongly is against any pharmacological ways to fix it because I am so young and instead I should try to increase my testosterone naturally. He told me to take some Zumba classes and it would build some muscle in my quads and help increase my test naturally.
Does this sound reasonable or should I find someone else to get a second opinion? I have never heard of someone being recommended to take Zumba classes to fix depression and low libido before. If this is a normal thing to do, I will go ahead and try it.
