Estimate for repairs of Mustang 2006 GT ... seems high ...
I've been going to this shop for a while, they're great at communication and timeliness, and though I've always known they were a bit on the high side, even for Southern California, I've stuck with them. The car has 120k miles and it's an automatic.
But I'm really questioning an estimate for work and was looking for some outside input (making a decision tomorrow morning).
In no particular order:
--Replace transmission fluid
--Run an AC diagnostic (repairs would be extra)
--Replace pinion seal on rear differential
--replace wiper blades (it's on there, so I'm including this)
--Replace brake fluid
--Replace power steering fluid
--replace serpentine belt
--replace both front control arms
--replace the front sway bar links
--replace both outer tie rods
--alignment
--replace both rear shocks
Total: a little over 4k, though apparently with some sort of coupon it will be somewhere between 3600 and 3700. I don't really question that the work needs to be done as most of it I expected, but there's some sticker shock here.
I don't mind paying for good work, but I dunno.
Help?
