So I just listened to Ram in mono for the first time.

And it was incredible. Let me preface with saying Ram is my favorite Beatles solo record, so I have several different stereo vinyl and CD pressings of it. I finally broke down and paid for the 2012 mono vinyl pressing. Boy, am I glad I did because this is now my favorite version. Like when 3 Legs kicks in, it kind of feels like Paul is right there in the room with you.

Some of my favorite recordings are mono and usually the stereo ones tend to be inferior, like most of the Beatles and early Dylan records. But 1971 is considerably late to be doing mono recordings. I was a bit apprehensive of picking up this version because I feel like if it was better than the stereo version, I feel like they would’ve pressed way more copies through the years in mono. Pick this up if you have the opportunity.
