I need help choosing what to do after High School
I'm currently trying to figure out what job/career I want to get. It really doesn't have to be anything special and I'm open to most suggestions. First off, I don't want to go to college. It seems like it would just add debt for me, and I feel like there are better ways of getting a high paying job. I want to make enough to afford a house by 25, if not earlier and live comfortably so maybe $80,000 to $100,000+ based on what I've heard.
I also want a job with a work schedule different from a 9-5 as that doesn't have the best work-life balance and I want enough time to travel. The closest thing I could find that would actually work for me is "Hitch" work schedule where it's a longer, more grueling work period, but with long, multi-day breaks in between.
Everybody says I should be an engineer or do something that works with robotics since I build things like Computers, robots, etc. for a hobby. But I don't want a job that complex and nor do I want to have the same problems as I do in my personal projects but with higher stakes. Other than that, I really don't care what job/career I have as long as I don't have to work with a lot of people constantly, like more than a small team.
My first choice was a Commercial Pilot since they make around want, I want to make and only "prefer" a bachelor's degree. My other choice was something to deal with Motorsports (as like a Pit crew worker), but I have yet to put any real thought into that.
I'd like to hear your suggestions!
