I'm about to lose my mind. I've been searching for work since December and I'm no closer to a job than the day I started.

I have an ats optimized resume. I have five years of experience I have my CNA, CPR AED and first aid certifications. I am an independent worker who doesn't need anyone to get me to work. I'm strong empathetic and a very hard worker. And yet nothing. No offers at all. Why is it so hard to get a job? Why do we bother with the certifications if it never does any good? I'm just so disheartened.

To be clear. Since January 1st I have applied to 78 places on indeed. 4 on zip recruiter. And like ten on thier actual website. I've gotten 2 interviews. And no job offers. I've gotten about a dozen "interviews" that turn out to be job boards. I've applied to hospitals, nursing homes, pediactorc long term facilities, mental health facilities, hospice, group homes, home health aide companies, private duty care, I've even given up completely and applied to my old type of job of delivering pizza and a law office, and nothing.

I live in polk county Florida which is a huge county with millions of elderly people. Retirement villages, and nursing homes. This shouldn't be this hard.
