Do a projection sorcery user's movements in the 24 frames need change for them to actually move? Or could they T pose forwards?
(Sorry if the tag is wrong, I will correct if told a better one to use)
Since I first heard the description of projection sorcery it getting a speed boost seemed weird, like Naobito's frames in the scene from season 2 kind of just looked like how you'd animate that kind of movement and not anything superhuman
However after finding someone else asking about it there was a response that makes some sense to me, that there's a certain threshold beyond the distance you could normally travel in 1/24th of a second that you can place frames apart. Just to keep math simple let's say there's a projection sorcerer who can run at exactly 24 feet per second, and let's also say they can exceed their normal speed by 50% before the technique punishes them, so in the first frame they place themself 1.5 feet forward, 3 feet from their starting point on the second frame and after the 24th frame they've moved 36 feet
But if they can move in frames more than they could normally, what if they didn't move by normal means at all? Using the same sorcerer as before, what if they maintained a static pose and just placed each frame half a foot ahead of the previous one? Would they be able to move 12 feet just with frames?
Now why might a sorcerer want to do this? I think mind games, mix this static forward movement with active side to side movement to confuse enemies, slide forward in a single stance for 23 frames before throwing a punch in the last frame, etc
