Black nipple discharge-
24F, 5’5, 137lbs.
Medication: venfalaxine, atomexotine, and trazodone daily. I have a kayleena IUD (if that matters).
The issue is my left breast. I do not have any health conditions.
I went to the doctor a few months ago now for tenderness, a mildly visible lump and black discharge from my breast when i squeezed(not hard).
I had an ultrasound done and was told it was because i have very fibrous breasts, it was a clogged duct/swollen lymph node from the clog, but I do have a benign mass in my breast.
However I was told it was nothing to worry about; but I have very consistently had dark/black discharge w/o tenderness or the same lump and am freaking myself out a bit.
I haven’t had symptoms other than the discharge but honestly since I was told not to squeeze I haven’t “checked” it like that very often.
My question is mainly, how accurately can doctors actually tell whether something is cancerous or not through ultrasound, and them being so nonchalant after the ultrasound normal?
Apologies if this is the wrong sub but I think I just need reassurance that someone else has had this experience and it not been cancer.
