Residents who bought a house, how did you go about it?

Starting advanced program (4 yrs long) after current PGY-1. Will stay in advanced program city (midwest) for 4 years minimum.

For those who bought a condo or house, can I ask how you went about it? Did you get a loan, full cash (maybe cheaper condo), other things to consider?

I don't have much money saved up atm either since I am putting it all into a family business but can save up like $10-20k without too much difficulty in a few months.
