Problem with Ryzen iGPU instability
So i have a Legion 5 10th gen,
Basic specs: Ryzen 7 260, RTX 5060, 24GB ram(single-channel), 512GB storage
It's a new laptop, owning it for a bit more than 2 weeks now.
Problem: whenever I'm in the default hybrid mode, there's some random artifacts/static-like stuffs going on, it's subtle in certain situations but bad and really noticeable in some situation(certain wallpapers in wallpaper engine), on top of these artifacts, there's also some occasional freezes and the screen will go black for 3-4 seconds and the AMD bug report notification pops up,
When i changed to dGPU mode, everything works perfectly fine without a single issue, all games works flawlessly in both hybrid and dGPU modes(CS2, Valorant, FH4, Hogwarts, Callisto Protocol, just to name some) achieving high fps with zero stutters.
Troubleshooting steps I've done:
-
using DDU to wipe and reinstall Lenovo's official drivers for both AMD and NVIDIA = same results
-
configure more bandwidth/ram into the iGPU vram from the BIOS(UMA Frame Buffer Size from 512mb to 2GB) = same results
-
disabling HAGS + lowered refresh rate to 60HZ to check if the single channel ram was the issue = same results
-
Holding power button for 60 seconds for static discharge = same results
-
Even tested my ram using windows memory diagnostic, no faulty ram issues found
Is this a motherboard defect to the Ryzen iGPU or something else? Any sort of help is highly appreciated
