Output-based remote work
Hi! Not to sound like I’m setting unrealistic expectations 😅 — I’ve just been seeing posts/comments from people with WFH or remote jobs who say that even though they’re technically on an 8-hour shift, the work is sometimes more output-based. Meaning once the tasks for the day are done, they may just monitor messages or wait for anything urgent. Some even mention finishing their actual tasks in a much shorter time (like 2–3 hours).
Out of curiosity, what field or niche are you in?
Does this happen in VA/EA roles as well, or even in the legal niche (paralegal/legal assistant work)?
I know some of you probably can’t disclose the company or client you’re working for, and I completely understand that. I’m just trying to get a general idea of which niches this situation is more common in.
Thanks! Curious to hear your experiences. 😄
