Gifts at a high-end venue wedding
I’m attending a wedding at an extremely high-end venue (I didn't mean to look this up, but it seems to be in the $600k-1m range) this summer during their prime season. I am very close to the bride, but I come from a much more humble background than most of the guests'.
I’ve bought a ~$300 gift from the wedding registry. However, as the date gets closer and I see how high-end the production is, I’m starting to get "gift anxiety." It seems like $300 wouldn't even cover the per person costs of this weeding.
Am I overthinking the "cover your plate" rule, or is $300 considered a solid, respectful gift for this level of luxury?
