Tell me why a stupid quiz is worth MORE than a whole project
I am so done with dumb ahh Spanish class bro, I’ve suffered through ts for freaking 4 years now.(started 7th grade) This is by far the worst teach I’ve had as well.
Spanish 4 at the core is not that hard, and is easy with a semi decent teacher right? Well I have probably the WORST teacher, doesn’t matter what subject THE WORST, when it comes to grading and general teaching.
Every week, on the last day of the class for the week, the class takes a supposedly small quiz that isn’t supposed to be worth that much, syllabus said 10-15%, and they are dumb as heck. It’s just a burden at this point.
Every now and then I get a bad grade on them, and they ALWAYS drop my grade DOWN, 1-3% but still. However when I do well on them(95+%) my grade doesn’t move. Doesn’t even make sense. I get lower grades affect it more but come on, there’s no way it never goes up.
Back to the title, we recently were assigned a project where we had to make a news segment thing for a natural disaster that happened in a Spanish speaking country. I got a 96% on the project. The whole class said they took over 2 hours on the whole project, it was individual so no groups.
My quarter grade before my teacher put it in the grade book was a 93%, the year grade a 92%. My teacher then puts the project in the grade book and what happens. NOTHING, like how tf can a whole project be worth no more than a stupid little quiz??? Much more effort goes into project than even tests. This only happens in Spanish class as well!
To add more fuel to the fire, my teacher accidentally put a listening assignment, which is also worth more than a project, as missing. I tell her about it and she fixes it, no problem right? NOPE, I checked my grades yesterday and realized I had a B again, what from? SHE PUT THE ASSIGNMENT AS MISSING AGAIN EVEN THOUGH I SHOWED IT TO HER AS COMPLETED!
Im so done with Spanish class, id rather die than take AP next year…
Also apologies for the long essay, Im a tad bit irritated lol.
