87-91 Rear Axle Bearings

Just finished a 750 mile move to new house. Truck didn’t make it, got about 300 miles before it started bouncing like a paint shaker. Pretty sure the axle bearings are gone, but I’m on a limited budget to get it back up and running. I have two questions:

1. is it possible to replace the axle bearings and expect any longevity in the rear end?

2. what’s the best source for 87-91 F-150 3.55 rear ends on the market now? Plan to do the swap myself but i don’t want to put a used or worn out rear end in her.
