Scream 7 and Scary Movie 6 in the same year. Coincidence or Calculated?

It's honestly so weird to me that Scream and Scary Movie are coming out in the same year especially since it's been years since the last Scary Movie came out in 2013. Both of them will have a reunion of older cast members. Do ya'll think this was a calculated move? Or is it just coincidence?
