Just me or are some human bosses awful? [Nioh 3]

Some of their AI seems really bad

Sometimes it feels like they lost the location of your position, and if you don't move they kinda just permanently walk backwards

But mostly, they just idle block any engagement while refusing to engage themselves. There are specific thresholds (maybe depends on weapon/NPC) where at a specific range, they will attack you, but outside of that i am not having a good time here. I just end up using gimmicks and cheeses because i get bored of perma-parrying with my odachi because the damage is too bad

I've tried ki-breaking them but it's a hit or miss as their regeneration is very high

Any advice, tips or tricks are welcome
