My B-school gave us a “placement readiness score.” is gamifying careers actually useful?
Okay so when i graduated doing my mba alt programme. they calculate a Placement Readiness Score (PRS) for students, basically a weighted score based on things like academics, projects/practicums, and mock interview performance. althought mine was decent enough to get me hired at a good package.
idea is to show how “market ready” someone is before placements start. part of me thinks it’s useful because it gives students a clear signal on where they stand but another part of me feels careers are too messy to reduce to a single score.
skills, luck, timing, networking, so many things influence outcomes.
curious what people think??
