I’m missing lessons and late to school every day. I don’t know what to do.
I’m 18F. I’m in my last year of school, doing my final exams in May/June, and hopefully going to university in September. I’m genuinely just so tired of school. I wake up every day at 6:45, lie in bed for like an hour trying to find the motivation to get up, and then end up missing the bus and only arriving at 10:30 when my first lesson was supposed to be at 9:00. I feel like I’m so behind on every thing but as soon as I finish school I just go home and watch television because I feel like doing nothing. I was supposed to get to school today for 9:00 but I only got here at 11:20. Every day just feels like a chore and I hardly even focus on my lessons because I’m just counting down the time until I can leave. All of my friends are busy and my mum has no money for us to do anything so I have nothing to look forward to. Every day of my life just feels like a write off. I know people will say university is also schooling but they won’t pester me. I can go to lessons, and then if I feel really low, I can skip one and then I’ll be fine, instead of just waiting for something to change like I’m doing now. The teacher whose lesson I missed always emails parents if students don’t show up so my mum will definitely get notified that I wasn’t in my first lesson. I just don’t know what to do. I don’t want to disappoint my mum further but I’m just really struggling to motivate myself to do anything when I’m under so much pressure and I never get any breaks. I work on the weekends because we need money so I’m literally either working or at school every day.
