Would Dexter kill a child that was also a killer?

Let’s just say there’s a child that is sadistic and loves killing people, there’s no justification for it, they just enjoy it. The child has also escaped justice and is going to continue killing, so they fit the code.

Would Dexter take the child out? He has a soft spot for kids and he says he could never hurt children, but the child is a sadistic killer and he’d still be following the code.
