How to make Friends and Influence People

Greetings Fine Ladies; Gents; and ah, Si-, er, Mad-, er, Others…

I come to you on this dour, foggy day to ask how does one enter the lauded social circles of London. I have been playing for a day or two now but so far have made no acquaintances for whom I can wile away the hours with, or engage in pen-palling.

I was wondering how one might make introductions with such noble people as yourselves, and maybe find a spirit of camaraderie in these trying, nightmarish times.

After all, it’s not what you know but who, and right now I know nothing and no-one…

I’d be very willing to reach out to anyone in-city. But mostly am looking for an explanation of methodology and purpose behind such acquaintances.
