Dream Machine Pro Camera Limit - New NVR or DMP Max?

I have a Dream Machine Pro and a 48 Pro Max POE Switch

I did not realize that the DMP has a max capacity of 8 cameras. I am currently at 8 but would like to increase to 10.

Should I just upgrade to Dream Machine Pro Max or just get a NVR?

Should I move the recordings off the DMP to help with processing power?

Is the DMP Max much better than the standard one? Anything new coming out soon I should wait?

I have all XG Aps and I am considering changing my switch to the 10 gig version. Unifi got me good there is no end in sight lol.
