Help a new GM with VTT

I have always been interested in TTRPG but never took the dive with D&D. But when Daggerheart was announced, I did not hesitate.

So, I have a group, we started playing last August, bunch of adults, working, parenting and balancing and surviving adulthood.

We have been playing in-person, but of late, meeting up has been hard. Hence, now I am exploring online/VTT. What are some of suggestions and are they free or there's a need to pay subscriptions or the DH core digital bundle on Demiplane to play?
