We are seeking an experienced Applications Rationalization & Optimization Architect to evaluate the existing enterprise application landscape and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, performance, and cost effectiveness. The selected candidate will work closely with both business stakeholders and IT teams to assess how current applications are being used, identify redundancies or inefficiencies, and recommend improved architectural approaches including consolidation, migration, or replacement where appropriate. This role requires a balance of technical architecture knowledge and strong business understanding, enabling the architect to translate operational needs into practical technology optimization strategies.

Key Responsibilities

Application Landscape Assessment

- Perform detailed review of the current enterprise application ecosystem (~15–20 applications).
- Document application usage, dependencies, integrations, and operational purpose.
- Evaluate whether existing applications are being used effectively across business functions.

Application Rationalization

- Identify opportunities to consolidate overlapping or redundant applications.
- Recommend strategies for simplifying the application architecture.
- Assess application licensing and infrastructure usage to identify cost optimization opportunities.

Technology Optimization

- Analyze performance, scalability, and operational efficiency of current systems.
- Recommend modernization or migration options where beneficial.
- Identify opportunities to replace high-cost solutions with more efficient alternatives where appropriate.

Business Collaboration

- Conduct workshops with business stakeholders to understand actual system usage and operational requirements.
- Align technology recommendations with business priorities and workflows.
- Translate business needs into clear technology improvement strategies.

Architecture Recommendations

- Produce practical architecture recommendations and rationalization roadmaps.
- Provide guidance on integration improvements between systems.
- Support the organization in implementing recommended improvements over time.

Technology Landscape (Current Environment)

The current environment includes enterprise platforms such as SAP, Microsoft Dynamics, UiPath, SuccessFactors, and Joget (low-code platform). Experience with these technologies or similar enterprise platforms is highly desirable.

Required Skills & Experience

Core Skills

- 7–10 years of experience in enterprise applications architecture or solution architecture.
- Experience conducting application rationalization or technology landscape assessments.
- Strong understanding of enterprise application ecosystems and integration patterns.
- Ability to identify technology cost optimization opportunities.
- Experience working across both IT and business stakeholders.
