What to choose?
So, I'm in the market looking for a bike for daily office commuting around 6-7 km one way (14 km overall) living in a tier 3 city and the bike will be used 95% for city rides as I'll be using car for highway rides.
I'm 5 feet 10 ½ inches tall and weigh 91kgs.
Sometimes my mother/wife will be pillion for some errands so the bikes with step-ups seats is not in consideration.
I've taken a test ride of few bikes:
Pulsar n250/n160: decent bike but pillion seat is high, like a step-up, also, heard that bajaj bikes tend to age badly
Apache RTR 160 4v: Pillion seat is cushiony and suspensions are also good, pillion seat is little bit high but I think it is manageable
Hunter: seat length is not long enough for the pillion and also it looks small as per my physique
Ronin: sometimes it feels small and sometimes looks fine as per my physique, pillion seat length is ok, if I'm going to buy this, I'm thinking of installing rear rack so that the bike do not look compact
Classic/meteor: too heavy and I know I'll not be comfortable in long run due to weight and the cost of owning these bikes as they are already on the expensive side
XSR155: Pillion seat is not good enough and also the riding posture is bit more aggressive to my liking
Honda Bigwing: Nearest showrooms are at least 220 km away from my city
kindly suggest
