**Introduction**
Well you guys have read the title, that's exactly my thoughts after listening to this piece of jewellery. When this was given to me by my good friend r/TrebleWellExtended, I was really excited to try these out.

I think this is the first time I have listened to/reviewed an IEM where I didn't know any information about it, I didn't know many drivers it had, whether it was a tribrid, hybrid or how it graphed. With that out of the way let's talk about it more in the review.

**Build & Design**
The Empire Ears Odin is an eye grabber for sure. The faceplate features this mix of colors that almost feels like a blend of the colors on the rainbow. But then I looked it kinda made sense because this IEM follows the Norse mythology where I think it's trying to emulate the Bifröst.

The shells themselves are lightweight but it's a bit on the larger side for my ears. Longer sessions on the Odin were a little fatiguing in the end.

Following the Norse Mythology, the cable it houses is called **“The Stormbreaker”** which is actually a **$1299 Cable** in itself (which was made in collaboration with PWAudio) and i really dig the cable, the material features a braided fabric texture which feels very premium and i didnt experience any microphonics of any sort and it behaves really well.

**For Comfort,** I didn't face any comfort issues but like I said earlier these are on the larger size so I can see this being a bit uncomfy for some folks out there. As for eartips, the best ones that fit for me were the Divinus Velvet and Audiocular Liquid Atmos Eartips.

**Specifications**
The Odin constitutes a 11 Driver Tribrid Setup where it features 2 DD Subwoofers for the bass, 5 BA drivers for the mids and 4 EST drivers for the Treble.

As for driveability it was fairly easy to drive this thing, but of course pair it with something nice and it can perform well. For me the Luna and Zen Stack were really good pairings.

**Sound**
The overall tonality of the Odin leads on to a variation of a U shape where you can see sub bass emphasis with a forward upper midrange and relaxed yet detailed treble. Let's talk about it in detail starting with the Bass.

**Bass**
I think this could be the top 1 or 2 Bass tunings I have ever heard in an IEM. Like it's so perfect in both quantity and quality to my taste it feels like it was custom made for me.

The sub bass presence in tracks, the quality of it, the rumble is presented to perfection on the Odin. In tracks like ***All I Ever Wanted by Basshunter or Forever by Drake***, the drums had a little bit of echo where it just trails off and you can clearly point out it here

Midbass comes with a strong impact that gives transients its liveliness. In the song ***Washing Machine Heart by Mitski,*** the kick drums are a fricking joy to listen to, it just feels right there next to your ears.

There is a bit of bloat but it's not distracting at all where it consumes other portions of tuning. And overall this is a very well done Bass.

**Midrange**
If you look at the graph you can see it's a bit midrange forward but in listening sessions this never felt in your face.

Yes the vocals are front and center, grabbing your attention but it didn't feel like it was overdoing it. A problem I faced with other sets which are forward in the mids, they can be at fault at presenting mild artists a bit too forward where it can be too much. ***(for eg: Listening to Lana Del Rey on Prismatica)***

The details and resolution present here are impeccable, particularly with Guitars, where you can hear the pluck and taps as if it's there in front of you.

**Treble**
The Odin isn't treble forward by any means and goes for a bit of a relaxed approach but i wouldnt call it smooth in my opinion. To me, smooth often refers to a treble tuning which is kinda laid back and takes a hit on the overall details.

But the Odin doesn't sacrifice any part of it here. It's full of details, and the instruments are crisp and natural. This treble maintains the overall balance in tuning with the other aspects a bit forward.

Another EST treble that I heard in an IEM was of Mega5est but I mentioned in my review it being a bit softer and pale in the attack, whereas the Odin is the polar opposite here.

**Technicalities**
The overall technical capability of the Odin is the best i have ever heard, the next closest i could say is perhaps the U12T. Both resolution and detail retrieval is top notch and I don't have much to say more about it. It’s just brilliant.

***In Let it happen by Tame Impala*** \- in the latter part of the song (from 5:00) we can experience a clapping sound in the instrumentals; this is very prominent and elevated on the Odin compared to Pilgrim, Meteor and Prismatica. (I know these aren’t a fair comparison, but these were the sets i had with me)

The Soundstage is really excellent but I was more than impressed by the precise Imaging, where this is right on the mark in terms of accuracy. Layering & Separation is just godlike in this IEM (no pun intended hehe). ***Playing God by Polyphia*** has never been so layered in such a manner to me

In ***"Tu mera Nahi by Rizwan"*** I urge you if you have an ODIN with you, please listen to this song on this. It is actually insane how its able to pick out even the smallest of taps on the Tabla, I was really mesmerised, its like his playing just next to your ears

I think this is the thing with the Odin, it just lifts up these details like anything. In all the IEMs I have tried before it feels like these details are there but often they are faint or timid in a way but on the ODIN they come up front and center and sometimes it feels like it's too much but in a good way.

**Conclusion**
The Empire Ears Odin is definitely the most expensive IEM I have tried and its nothing short amazed by what it offers. Of course it's very expensive and I'll always have a hard time justifying these prices but I would definitely say to experience this piece if you have the chance because this surely is **SOMETHING**.

***For me the Empire Ears Odin is an absolute 5/5 IEM.***
