Anyone else noticing how fast “agents” are creeping into daily outbound work?

I've been running a small outbound agency for 2 yrs now and something interesting has happened over the last 4-5 months.

We didn’t decide to adopt AI agents...but i'm myself amazed how they have slowly replaced a bunch of annoying tasks.

stuff like:
• checking stale replies
• monitoring bounce spikes
• pushing interested leads into LinkedIn outreach
• sending daily performance summaries

Before this, someone on our team had to check dashboards constantly... keep one eye on the master inbox and the other on crm.

but now we basically have small agents running those checks in the background and pinging us only when something needs attention.

Example: we run one that flags leads that replied but never got a follow-up within 24h. that alone recovered a surprising number of deals.

Another one alerts us when reply rates drop on a campaign so we fix copy quickly.

We’re also trying Smartlead smart agents for most of this now as its plugged directly into our campaigns.

Not perfect yet, but honestly feels like “ops assistants for outbound.”

Curious if other outreach agencies are experimenting with this or still running everything manually...
