I moved to Manila to work abroad but got scammed Now I don’t know where to go.

I’m really exhausted. I came to Manila hoping to apply for work abroad, but I got scammed. I lost money and my plans fell apart. I’ve been staying at a friend’s place for almost a month now, and I’m starting to feel ashamed. They never told me to leave, but I feel like I’m overstaying. The only good thing is I finally got hired in a BPO company and my start date is March 16. I’m grateful, but I don’t have a place of my own yet and I don’t know where to go. I feel stuck between being thankful and feeling like a burden. I’m trying to stay strong, but honestly I feel embarrassed and tired. I just needed to let this out. If anyone has been through something similar, how did you recover?
