Mom refusing to acknowledge her child can be depressed
My mom can't seem to understand why I could possibly be depressed so she refuses my access to antidepressants ( it's the only solution in my country anyways). In her eyes , I have a "loving and supportive" family and a fairly decent life . What she doesn't know about is the isolation i experience at school , the conflicting dissonance and alienation I feel towards my culture and people, shame and hopelessness for the future as I can't pursue my passion or field of interest . I wouldn't want to pour it all out to her as there's a big possibility she won't understand and I'm tired of receiving the same feedback " you just need to accept things as they are " everytime an attempt is made . Still I'm at a loss as what to say to her now , can you guys pls help ?
