I built a Chrome extension for inspecting CSS on live sites — DevLens is now on the Web Store

I've been building websites professionally for years and always found the gap between design specs and live code frustrating — especially when working with AI-generated prototypes.

So I built DevLens, a visual inspector that works directly in the browser:

  • Hover any element → see box model, typography, colors, spacing instantly
  • Shift+click two elements → measure exact pixel distance between them
  • Box model overlay (like Figma's inspect mode, but on live sites)
  • Color palette extraction from any page
  • Pseudo-state inspection (:hover, :focus, :active, :visited)

It's completely free. Would love honest feedback from this community — what's missing, what's broken, what would make it actually useful for your workflow.
