Building Projects Fast with Lovable — My Experience

Discussion

I recently built a few projects using Lovable, including a golf booking platform with CRM, email marketing and calendar integrations, a single-page landing page and a hybrid race analytics tool I made for a friend.

Along the way, I got a chance to compare Lovable against other AI coding platforms I’ve used, like Bolt, Replit, Cursor and V0. Here’s what I noticed:

Pros: Lovable’s React/Vite stack makes frontend development fast and structured and it handles integrations really well out of the box.

Cons: The platform can be opinionated, and I ran into its bugginess wall a few times where things just didn’t work as expected.

Overall, Lovable worked well for building production-ready workflows and apps quickly, especially when you want a combination of automation, integrations and a modern frontend. It’s not perfect, but for certain projects, it’s surprisingly productive.

If you’re experimenting with AI-assisted coding tools, its worth knowing the trade-offs between speed, flexibility and platform quirks Lovable leans heavily on speed and structure, but sometimes you hit the limits.
