What do you wish AI companion platforms did differently? Building something new and want real feedback

I've been using AI companion platforms for a while now and I'm part of a small team that's building something new in this space. We're not coming in with a finished product and a marketing pitch, we're genuinely trying to build something with the community in mind from the start.

Before we go any further, I wanted to ask people who actually use these platforms: what do you wish was done differently? What's missing, what keeps frustrating you, what would make the experience feel more real?
