how can people even find others to date without going out?

asking this more out of curiosity, I'm m26 and only started dating way later in life when I was 23. It was a girl I've met online (the terror of long distance), so the answer should be obvious right? but at the same time the circunstances of how we met were so unlikely and it's the type of thing that sounds impossible to happen again.

I don't really go out and I work from home, so everytime I meet someone is just cause of a numerous number of coincidences through out a day that lead me to an exact point during a very exact time.

Again, asking more out of curiosity even tho I expect some of the answers, ig I just wanted that this lifestyle could give me lemons which sounds very unlikely
