Busted Checkrides with PSA Cadet Program
My husband was part of the recent PSA class.
He got a class date for back in November.
Everything was going well until about halfway through.
This DPE failed him for something mid program. Idk all the lingo or names for the part of the processes but the general consensus of everyone else he spoke with was that it was strange that the DPE failed him for that. In any case, he got a new DPE next time around and all was good.
He had his final check ride
Scheduled and it’s the same DPE again that failed him previously. And the same thing happens again, another failure. We are devastated.
This all happened on 2/27. They sent him home and told him management would be in touch. Today marks a week since this all happened. Is it strange that we have not heard anything yet? Is it over OVER? Is there any hope for getting past this?
Below is the text he sent me right after the fail for reference, idk if it helps make a determination of what might happen next .
“No go… I literally passed every event set, ALL GREEN, but he said that I was too nervous and was missing little things. He said he was on the fence but ultimately felt too uncomfortable to put me in a jet with passengers. He said that he’s seen guys on the line freeze up in emergency situations and I give him the same impression. I told him it was check ride nerves but he didn’t want to hear it. I hate this examiner so fucking much. I’m sorry. Might be another chance but it will be with examiner directly from FAA if they move forward.”
Hubby has been distraught since he’s been. Home. I have too but trying to hold it together I can’t really talk to him about it right now bc he’s too upset. What happens next for us?
