Companion x classic newbie question

hi everyone, I have just started playing on companions server. I'm enjoying it so far, however I saw a bunch of people complaining here about it. is there a reason for new players not play there?

also, is everyone in this sub playing the classic only? I saw there is another sub for the companions.

my good impressions so far:

No vip system, they give heroes for free, too many summons and the YouTube videos in the official channel seems to be focusing more on companions than classic
