Help required - The Sims Creator - Heroic Launcher/Steam Deck

Hello there.

I managed to get The Sims Complete Collection installed on my Steam Deck via Heroic Launcher involving a cobbled together portable disc drive/disc collection combo through Heroic Launcher.

The game works fine now that i worked out where my ancient (23 year old) save files were supposed to go, but what I really want to get working is The Sims Creator.

I managed to get Creator to install and load, but the save buttons don't work. I read on Windows you had to load the program in Administrator mode, but I'm not using Windows so I'm a bit stuck.

Also, it only loads in the basic skins etc, none of the skins from my actual games.
