Hey! This is Alona:). I am 22F (she/her) planning to Munich in coming April for master program. It’s English lectured but I am learning Deutsch right now. I have some experience with reading (I have read the little prince, and now I am reading Im Western nichts Neues) now I am practicing listening and speaking.

About me:

I am a sound designer for theater and I love literature and history. I am a writer on Archiveofourown and some Chinese platform in Mandarin. I got quite a few followers on some Fandom as a short story writer. I write a lot so if you would like to talk with me, please tolerate my wordy.

I am a fast reader and recently I am reading an interview collection for Levi-Strauss (in Mandarin). I am a fan of Kundera, Victoria Hislop, Ian McEwan and Dubravka Ugrešić… I read those books mostly in English and some in Mandarin. I was a standup comedy girl before in Mandarin and i performed in several summers. Life turns to be harder for wholesome script writing and i quit now.

About more subject wise, I learn something about Economics (I just finished some books about Austrian School) and Theater production (one of my major things in undergraduate for four years). My academic career is focusing on robotics, especially human-robotics interaction (HRI). My approach is more on the side of neuroscience mathematics. My undergraduate majors includes math. I did it quite good and i am confident to help if you will need(just until undergraduate and mostly applied and statistics. My pure math is limited and my subscription ends).

I am a wanderer for physical world and I travelled all places around. I love mountains and have been to Xizang and Xinjiang as well as Sichuan for several times. I went to several national parks before when i was in US. I love just walk around the city too.

What U can provide and am looking for:

I will move to Garching bei Munich this April and welcome to find me! I am gonna to take my PS5 with me. I would prefer in person talk of possible but before let’s chat! Email, WeChat, WhatsAPP… lots of platforms work for me! We can do it daily base or on some topics which we are both interested in! We can also do Zoom as well though my Deutsch speaking is really at the stage of beginning.

I have lots of experience in Chinese. I can speak 3 accents fluently besides the standard one. I have learnt ancient Chinese from a neighbor professor for 8 years since i was 10 so i read and discussed a lot with him about Confucianism and Taoism, as well as ancient Chinese politics and economy. I love poetries too in Chinese and English, both modern and ancient. I held several sharing sessions about bilingual prom during undergraduate.
