Am I alone on disappointment, WTF reaction to S6 E13? (lake house, Tony & Bobby fight)

For context I'm 45 and first time watcher of show. LOVE the series and have been binge watching the past week with my wife. Awesome awesome show. But holy s$&! did it take a hard turn down crap street in this episode. Everything just seemed off.. the pace was much faster, writing was quick and snippy without depth. Many lines and behaviors off character for almost every character. It made the great actors look like terrible actors. I felt like I was watching one of Tony's long dream sequences.. Or a high school play version of the sopranos. It felt so off. The cinematography also had issues of being simplified with just ping ponging between same headshot to same headshot of other character. I know there was a break between shooting e12 and e13 but it shouldn't be this far off.

Am I alone? I tried to find another post on this but surprised to not so chances are good the answer is yes. Which would blow my mind.
