Currently in Germany wants to transition to UK, advice?

I'm in germany for a little less than a year working at an NGO. My spouse has had a challenge getting a job and I frankly don't know that they will given the language barrier.

I like Germany for its safety, peace and quietness but it has begun to get lonely here. I dont find Germans to be outrightly racist but there are subtle things like parents leaving the playground when we are there ( we Caribbean ethnicity) and many people just seem closed off. I am not sure I too crazy about their education system here too.

I pretty much value a challenging job with a good wage commensurate on experience and qualifications, I think my spouse would also have better chances of getting a job in the UK education system. Any advice on whether it would be worth it to transition? Which areas would you suggest that I look into?
