Pen/marker recommendations

Looking for advice on what brand of pens or markers I could buy that are reliable and not too costly.

Been using random ball points that I find and always have to replace them after a little while. I write a lot and often on paper/card that has had fuel/oil/grease spilled on it and would like a pen that can still write on them.

Also looking for a good marker that will write well on metal and tyres without breaking or damaging the tip, also needs to be able to be removed fairly easily.
