YOU CAN GO BACK IN THE SIERRA MADRE????

I just killed father Elijah and teleported to the Villa, my heart sank because I had stashed my stuff INSIDE the Sierra Madre, I looked it up and it kept saying you can't go back BUT I accidentally went to the wrong gate and went inside the Sierra Madre AGAIN! Is this a bug??????
