How do I (25m) tell my girlfriend (24f) that I want more affection?

Hey,

So my girlfriend (24f) and I (25m) have been dating for a bit more than a year now and she’s never been the affectionate type of person and I am very affectionate. We have kissed/madeout/got in the mood but never did the deed. But this isn’t about that.

Recently we’ve been hanging out and I would initiate some kissing or throw flirty jabs at her. But she wouldn’t fully do the same. She would do things in her own way, like nudging me or rub my ear or play with my clothes (undo a button on my shirt) or mess my hair up, to try and annoy me. But nothing that I am used to in a partner. And we talked about each other’s love languages, she isn’t really a physical touch kind of girl, but instead she is a “light touching” and physical presence kind of girl. But occasionally she likes the whole cuddling thing.

I don’t know how to bring it up to her and/or what to tell her specifically. She is a really cool, down to earth and pretty girl that i like a lot, I don’t want to throw away this relationship.
