OLED getting MORE expensive?

Been looking into finally upgrading an OLED alongside building my new PC, monitor is about to be one of the last components i still need to finish my build.

Got jumpscared by a juicy price increase to roughly 800€ starting Feb 23rd, up from an average of 650€ throughout the last 12 months and higher than at any point in time in said 12 months.

When googling about OLEDs getting more expensive all i am getting hit by is "OLED TVs are set to become cheaper in 2026"

So what's going on here? Did they just decide you know what, F the consumer? Or is there something going on in the monitor industry i don't know about?
