What did Rufus know?

season 4, after Sam's addiction is discovered, Bobby gets a phone call that he ends in basically "fuck off rufus". then he looks at dean and says "he knows."

Ive always assumed it was that he knew about the demon blood, but how? is there something else I missed that he would know about that would piss Bobby off?
