Urania: Queer Magic

Bringing it back to this fragrance, as it hasn't been discussed in a while! I just received a 10ml in the post, and I think I really like it!!

As soon as I sprayed it in the air, although I could get the initial florals, I could also already smell a gorgeous spicy incense, which I guess is the Palo Santo? I've just had a clear-out of a lot of my incense fragrances, as I want to love them, but they're generally just too heavy and intense for me – like sitting in the front row at Catholic church when the priest comes round with the burner! (I did actually faint one time when that happened lol, so I think I'm quite sensitive to it!).

But this is more like ... 'oh what's that lovely smell, is someone burning incense in the other room?' It's light and a little smokey – it makes me think of the tiny delicious ribbon of smoke you see if you watch an incense stick burn. Really sensual and sexy!

I always worry that the notes I can smell in the air won't translate well on the skin, but this one smells even better on my skin. Yet to see about longevity, but the sillage seems good without huge projection. That's a perfect combo as far as I'm concerned – when the scent seems kind of weighty and stays close to the skin so I don't get a headache, but I'm aware of it when I move. Thumbs up from me – wondered if any of you had tried it?
