Questions on the recent eldrazi lists

Hi all,

I have been away from the game for several months since the EW and plan to return and pick up my Eldrazi deck. I find out recently people start to give up Eldrazi obligator, once considered a really good card agains goyfs and murks. Also there are notable inclusions of Eldrazi confluence in the sb. It seems the meta hasn't been shifted too much, except the emergence of energy decks. Can I get some help understanding these latest changes, and maybe some general comments on the meta?

thanks a lot:)
